Popular producer and actor Pundareekakshayya died at Chennai on Thursday. He was 86.
Born in Gudivada in 1925, Pundreekshaiah was instrumental in the founding of National Arts Theaters (NAT) along with NTR and Trivikrama Rao. He produced all time hits like Mahamanthri Timmarasu, Aradhana and Raghavayya gari Abbayi.
In the second generation films, he acted as Muddhu Krishna in Vijaya Shanthi’s Karthavyam.
