CM launches Revenue Sadassus amidst 'Jai Telangana' slogans

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday stressed the importance of a platform to resolve the land disputes in an amicable manner.

Talking to media persons after formally inaugurating Revenue Sadassu at Chinna Gottimukala village in Medak district, the Chief minister reiterated that the government was making all efforts to update land records by computerizing all the documents. Admitting discrepancies in land records since 1954, he said that the government would provide land title deeds to 25 lakh people in the State.

Reiterating that the government was committed to resolve all land disputes in the state, he said that the Revenue Sadassus would be help resolve such disputes in hundreds of villages across the State.

The Chief Minister also assured the Telangana people that the state government was making all efforts to get national project status to Pranahita-Chevella Project to be constructed on river Godavari. He said that the government would mount pressure on the Centre to accord national tag to the project. He said that the project, if materialized, would provide irrigation facility to 16 lakhs acres in the Telangana region.

To tackle the drinking water problem in various parts of the state, he said that the government would conduct a satellite survey with an amount of Rs 25 crores. He said the government was providing interest-free loans for empowerment of women and announced Rs 100 crore for this purpose.     

stating that about 75 percent of the people have been covered under the Rajiv Arogyasri health scheme in the state, he said that the government was planning to extend the benefits of scheme to all soon. He said that the government would be spending Rs 1000 crore on the surgeries conducted under the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme.

During the meeting when some Telangana activists insisted CM to shout 'Jai Telangana' slogans, Kiran Kumar Reddy gladly obliged and said that everyone present in the meeting hails from the region and no one was opposed to Telangana.
