Hyderabad, Sept 24:
Maoist Malla Raja Reddy who is undergoing imprisonment in the Charlapally jail took ill on Thursday and was shifted to Gandhi Hopsital here. Malla Raja Reddy, who is being tried for several cases including the murder of former Andhra Speaker Sreepada Rao was a member of the Central Core Committee of the Maoists.
The Maoist leader Malla Raja Reddy, alias Sattenna, and his female associate were held in Angamaly near Kochi on December 17, 2007 by a special police team from Andhra Pradesh. At the time of arrest the duo were hiding among migrant quarry workers of the area.
