Alzheimer's is a disease that attacks the brain. It is the most common form of dementia. Memory loss is not a normal part of aging. It may be Alzheimer's - a progressive and fatal brain disease. If one has questions about any of the warning signs, he should consult doctor immediately. Early diagnosis provides the best opportunities for treatment, support and future planning.  In India over 3 million are estimated to be affected by the Alzheimer's and Related Disorders and by 2030 this number is expected to double.

When people think about staying fit, they generally think from the neck down. But the health of the brain plays a critical role in almost everything we do.  The good news is that we now know there’s a lot one can do to help keep brain healthier. These steps might also reduce risk of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. Simple lifestyle modifications also would have an enormous impact on our nation's public health and the cost of healthcare. If we make brain-healthy lifestyle changes and take action by getting involved, we could realize a future without Alzheimer's disease, said Chief Minister K Rosaiah.
