Actor Ravi Teja's brothers; Raghu Babu and Bharat, who were caught by the Task Force in Hyderabad for their allegedly buying banned drugs, on Wednesday lambasted the media for taking photographs while they were coming out of the City Crime Station.
The two accused had been summoned by the police for questioning in the case. When photo journalists from the electronic and print media tried to take photographs of the two accused in the sensational case they lashed out at the scribes and refused to answer questions.
The two accused termed the scribes as `Idiots’ and `Dirty fellows’ and boarded their car and sped away from the spot. The media persons meanwhile tried to explain to the two brothers that they were only discharging their duty. The brothers however were in no mood to listen and kept their harangue, even as they boarded their car and left the scene.
The two brothers, along with one of their friend Nagesh, and a Nigerian National Cheema Claymen, were nabbed red-handed by the police late on the night of August 20. They were arrested on charges of buying banned drug cocaine. They were later released on conditional bail. Cheema Claymen is accused of being their supplier.
The arrests of the four in the drug case led to shock and disbelief especially in the light of their relationship to one of the top actors from the Telugu film industry. City Police Commissioner AK Khan had then told media persons that the incident was one amongst the spate of cases in which the kin of the rich and famous were falling prey to the drug suppliers and indulging in the highly addictive habit.
