Censor shocks Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani makers. Censor Board which landed in the soup after the controversy over Prabhas' Adipurush, now started to be doubly cautious. According to the latest, the Censor Board shocked Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Khani makers.

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt's romantic entertainer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani directed by Karan Johar is releasing on 28 July 2023. The film's promotions are appealing to genex movie lovers. The film went to Censor Board for certification and the members after watching the film, they asked the makers to do away with various changes, delete political references and also do away the cuss words.

They asked the makers to make the changes and come to them again following which they handed over the certificate passing U/A certificate. The film's run time came to 2 hrs 48 minutes. Censor Board forced the makers to replace the  abusive word ‘b******d’, used multiple times by Behani Di.

The popular rum brand Old Monk was mentioned in the film and it was changed to ‘Bold Monk’. ‘Lok Sabha’ was also mentioned in a dialogue and the CBFC asked the makers to remove it and not even replace it with any other term. Dialogue about Mamata Bannerjee, West Bengal CM was asked to be deleted.  Lastly, a certain dialogue in the lingerie shop scene, which was termed as ‘degrading women’ and ‘vulgar’, was removed. In the same scene, ‘bra’ was replaced with ‘item’.

A certain word was replaced with ‘Koi filter’ in the Rabindranath Tagore scene. In the absence of exact detail, its not clear whether or not the mention of the legendary figure has been retained.
