It is known that Kajal Aggarwplayslay as the lead role in Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 directed by Shankar. This project was started before her marriage. But due to various reasons, the film got delayed in making and meanwhile, Kajal gets married and became a mother. After returning to films, she has only Indian 2 in her hand.

As the film is surrounded by hype after Kamal Haasan scored a blockbuster with Vikram and got back into the game, Indian 2 became red-hot in trade.
