Nikhil who has scored a pan India blockbuster Karthikeya 2 last year is gearing up with his next release SPY which is also planned as a Pan India release in multi languages. The film is scheduled to release of June 29th. Promotional activities were also being carried out as per schedule. Teaser was released to terrific response as the film hints about dealing with the India's mysterious death of Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose. But, all of a sudden reports are rife that the film is not releasing on June 29.
It has become a hot topic in industry circles that a verbal spat has been occured between Nikhil and Producer Rajasekhar Reddy. The reason for this friction is differences in Promotions and Release Date. While Nikhil wanted time to promote it more aggressively at national level and thus asks for postponement of the film. Whereas the producer who is also provided story to the SPY, Rajasekhar Reddy didn't agreed to it and wanted to release on announced date, June 29 itself.
This led to differences between the hero and producer and finally hero is even decided to move on from the project leaving dubbing and not promoting the film. This might be the reason behind Nikhil not even posted a single tweet about the first single of SPY which was released couple of days ago.
Reportedly Nikhil clearly said that the film needs to correct some CG work and post production work and also it needs nation level promotions to give it a proper release. It seems Producers to got his point and is reconsidering their decision. So, it is almost certain that SPY will not be arriving on June 29. An official announcement will be out soon in this regard.
