Adipurush makers seek ticket price hikes. Movie lovers are waiting eagerly to witness Adipurush's visual extravaganza on 16 June 2023. Expectations are high as the film happens to be based on the Hindu epic Ramayan. The film stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles under the direction of Om Raut.
Aleady Abhishek Agarwal and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor came forward to sponsor 10000 tickets of Adipurush each for the underprivileged. In the midst of all this, reports are coming that Adipurush makers are planning to seek high ticket rates. They requested the AP government to permit them to increase ticket rates by Rs 50.
Earlier AP government permitted a hike of 75 to 45 on ticket rates of mega-budget films like RRR, Acharya, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. The question is will AP government headed by CM Jagan will allow the makers of Adipurush to hike the ticket rates.
A functionary from the Telugu film chamber of Commerce said, "No doubt the state government is trying to help the Telugu film industry to flourish by providing a series of incentives, including permission to hike ticket costs. But the government should also insist on filmmakers to produce a major part of the move in AP so that it provides employment to local artists and generates revenue for the state."
