Saharasi is a biopic on Subrata Roy. The makers released the first look and it looked interesting and exciting. Sudipto Sen who created a sensation with his hard hitting film The Kerala Stories is directing this film.
The film is a biopic on Sobrata Roy, founder of Sahara India Pariwar. The makers are yet fo announce the actor who plays the lead role. The 36-second-long clip gives a peek of the film showing a cheque worth ₹250000000000 for 'people of India' signed by Subrata Roy. A person, whose face wasn't revealed, held the cheque as thousands of people stood behind him. He was seen in a white shirt, tie and blue blazer.
The film which will go to the sets next year would be shot in an extravagant and lavish manner in and around Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Kolkata and London. It will be released in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. While AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the music of the film, Gulzar will pen the lyrics.
