Not only Akkineni fans but also movie lovers felt that he has the looks to make it big on the silver screen. However, despite Nagarjuna's best efforts, Akhil is unable to break the jinx.
He tasted failures in the form of Akhil-The Power of Jua, Hello, Mister Majnu, and Agent. Every time he failed, the Akkineni compound and Nagarjuna started talking about relaunching Akhil branding him in a completely different manner. But all these re-re launches did not give any desired results.
Following this, Nagarjuna according to sources decided to go all out for his Prince Akhil. Nagarjuna is keen to get his Annapurna Studios involved in the production to put a cap on the budget.
Some rumors are also spreading that Nagarjuna offered an astounding amount to star director Rajamouli to direct Akhil. However, Rajamouli is currently busy with Mahesh Babu's project and it has to be seen whether Rajamouli will agree to direct Akhil.
