The film is directed by Om Raut of Tanhaji fame who won the national award. The film stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in the roles of Lord Ram (Raghav) and Goddess Sita (Janaki). Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Lankesh (Rawan).

In the meantime, reports are coming that the makers of Adi Purush are planning a special extravaganza in Temple cities. The inside talk is they are planning events in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, and Bhadrachalam, Telangana, the two Telugu states.
The film is set for a grand release on 16 June 2023. The trailer has been cut for 3 minutes 22 seconds and buzz is it will be released on 9 May at Bhadrachalam, Telangana. The film will be screened at the Tribeca Festival, which is taking place from June 7-18th. The film will be premiered on 13 June and all the tickets have been sold like hot cakes.
