Controversial Film Facing The Heat Of Kerala Govt

Some films try to inflict propaganda on the audience towards a particular section or a party. Other films strive to expose buried truths. The Kerala Story falls into the second category. We don't know even if it is also a politically inclined film or not. But, the hard-hitting content based on true events is something we should pay attention to.

The Kerala Story starring Adah Sharma deals with 32 missing women from Kerala. But, the film land in controversy for its bold content. The film is slated to release on May 5th. But, the recently released trailer has stirred up controversy. The trailer showcases that the missing four Kerala young girls joined ISI and trained to become terrorists and saying that it is based on true incidents has faced the ire of several political parties. 

Several political parties called for ban of the film in Kerala. Even the CM of Kerala, Pinarapi Vijayan has expressed anger for showcasing that all 32000 missing girls were trained in ISI. He said that the film is made of degrade Kerala on an international level. He also said that Kerala doesn't love jihadi culture.

But, the team's version is completely different. Director Sudeepto Sen said that he has done extensive research and met families of missing girls personally. He also said that their intention is not to make a film against Kerala. He extended they made the film targeting Terrorism but not Muslim religion. Producer Vipul Amritlal Sha also asked CM do watch the film. " If any objectionable content is there, we will discuss about that" he said.
