Priyanka Chopra attained international stardom and couple of days back made startling comments on Bollywood. This shocked all and in the midst of all this, actors like Kangana Ranaut and others came in support of her and few more came and spoke against Bollywood culture.
Now, speaking to scribes, Priyanka Chopra spoke against camps in Bollywood. She said "Now that we live in a world of streaming, there is so much more. The Hindi film industry has changed so much in the last five to ten years. You have many talents – writers, directors, and actors from outside the industry. When I first started, that was not the case,"
She added "So I think having conversations around the fact that the workplace should be merit-based, that the workplace should be a positive environment, that casting should be a casting director's job instead of the politics and the drama,"
She continued , "I think having those conversations is really, really important so that there are no camps that actually rule casting and it is done because of merit and because of audiences wanting to watch people."
Priyanka is starring in a thriller drama Citadel under the direction of Russo brothers. She is sharing screen presence with Richard Madden.
