Vishal films banned by Court

Court bans Vishal films

Kollywood actor Vishal got a huge shock when Court banned his films from releasing either in theatres or OTTs. Vishal failed to repay the amount he has taken from the popular film financier  Anbu Chezhiyan and at that time, Lyca Productions entered and cleared the debts and released his film 'Veerame Vaagai Soodum'.

But with Vishal failing to clear the dues, Lyca Productions filed a case against him in the Madras High Court. Madras High Court today passed an order directing Vishal to pay a permanent deposit of Rs 15 lakhs in the bank in the name of the Chief Registrar of the High Court and to submit the property details.

Though Vishal appealed against the Court, the two-judge bench ruled against Vishal supporting the earlier judgment. The Court in its order passed a ban on Vishal's films releasing in OTTs and theatres. Vishal is currently starring in Thupparivalan 2 which also marks his debut as the director.
