Hrithik Roshan's War co-starring Tiger Shroff was a smash hit at the boxoffice. Hrithik's swag, style and dances complemented by Tiger Shroff with his stunts has made War one of the biggest grossers in Hindi films. As Producer Aditya Chopra is building YRF's SPY Verse, he recently made Pathaan with Shahrukh Khan connecting the characters and expanding the universe.
Created by producer Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the spy universe kicked off with the Tiger franchise, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, beginning with Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and continued with War (2019), The latest instalment in the universe is Pathaan. Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji is roped in to helm WAR 2. Hrithik Roshan to play the lead role in the forthcoming movie.
WAR 2 which is 7th in the YRF Spy Universe, will follow the events of Tiger 3. After blockbuster Pathaan, The next film in the spy universe, Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan, is expected to release this year around Diwali.
Ayan who earlier directed Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and recently Brahmāstra has stepped into YRF SPY Universe. After getting known about his vision in Brahmāstra, Aditya Chopra is reportedly decided to hand over War 2 to him. He believes the young Filmmaker's vision will definitely add a new dimension to an already popular action franchise.
