Recently Malayalam films are being remade in Telugu with big stars. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak is a remake of Mollywood's Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather' original is 'Lucifer'. Both became successful in Telugu too. Earlier Victory Venkatesh also made Drishyam 1 & 2 remakes.
Now it is Dialogue King Mohan Babu's turn to work for a Malayalam remake. He is doing the main role in a film which is to be made as an official remake of 'Android Kunjappan'. Suraj Venjaramoodu played that role in the original. It is also remade in Tamil as 'Google Kattappa' with KS Ravikumar in lead role. The film is about a son who is working abroad sends a robot to look after his ailing and lonely father. It's about the bonding between the old man and the robot.
The film suits Mohan Babu perfectly and needs fine tuning to connect with our audience. The film also have an young actor in son's character. Vishnu Manchu acquired the remake rights and the film will go on floors from January, 2023.
