This is because in many instances, Ram Gopal Varma made controversial comments on Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and others and even made insulting films showing them as comedians. This infuriated mega fans so much that they even performed his funeral rites.
In the midst of all this, Ram Gopal Varma shared his views on the Chiranejevi-Garikapati controversy. He posted, “Hey Gaarikapeeti, go hide in the spaces of your pravachanams but don’t try to point fingers at Film Industry for the sake of publicity. Megastar Chiranjeevi is an elephant, and as you know about yourself, just keep quiet”. He even took a dig at Mega Brother Naga Babu for asking mega fans to cool down.
He posted “Sorry Nagababu Garu, we can’t keep quiet. The one who has insulted Megastar is like a piece of hay to us”. It is known that a huge controversy was created when Chiranjeevi was posing for selfies with his fans and spiritual preacher Garikapati Narasimha Rao threatened to walk out of the event if Chiranjeevi doesn't stop posing for the selfies. Chiranjeevi despite such serious warning from Garikapati Narasimha Rao, stayed grounded and showered praises on the scholar and took his blessings.
However, from then on, Garikapaati has been at the receiving end of all the Tollywood celebrities and mega fans who have been demanding an apology from him. However knowing Ram Gopal Varma, many are wondering whether he is really supporting Chiranjeevi or mocking him in his own satirical manner.
