After the Acharya debacle, he attended many film functions, and in all of them, he turned emotional while talking about Acharya's result. He on more than one occasion put the entire blame on Koratala Shiva saying that as actors they are just doing whatever directors are asking them to do. He shied away from taking the blame for Acharya's debacle.

Apart from it, Chiranjeevi giving credit for RRR's success to Ram Charan, his son instead of director Rajamouli is exposing his double standards. They are questioning when he is blaming the director for the Acharya debacle, why is he stealing RRR success from Rajamouli, and crediting his son Ram Charan. Everyone is blasting Chiranjeevi for romancing successes and divorcing failures which is in stark contrast to other actors like Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and others who always confessed that they also take the blame for the films debacles.
