When Rajamouli's Baahubali hit the screens across the world and even in Hindi, no one even gave an iota of a chance of doing well in Bollywood. With unknown actors entering the unknown markets who have an aversion and look down on south stars and rave and show arrogance about Bollywood stars, Baahubali created a sensation and blew the Bollywood bastion. This came as a shock and many top stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, and others were left speechless. Many refused to talk about the film.
Times changed quickly and with the storm of south films in Bollywood, like Pushpa, RRR, and KGF post covid and Bollywood films crashing down, Bollywood came down on its knees. The big films, Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chadda, Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan left without a trace and they feared the same with Brahmastra.
But with a little bit of luck and with the support of Rajamouli, the film is having a decent run at the box office. However it has still a long way to go and in the meantime, it is coming out that Bollywood trade analysts and critics started promoting Brahmastra success as non-South and non-Baahubali success. They are promoting the film saying the film broke non-south records and non-Baahubali records.
This was the trend earlier witnessed down south as people started talking about non-Baahubali records. Even Rajamouli couldn't break Baahubali records with RRR. This shows the storm south films created in Bollywood.
