Just ahead of the release, Sai Pallavi's comments regarding Kashmir Files created a huge controversy. This started trending #banvirataparvam on social media. However the film released without any trouble. But now once again, Virataparvam landed in trouble.
VHP's Vidyasagar district secretary, K.Ajay Raj filed a complaint against the Censor Board officer Shefali Raj at the Sultan Bazar police station questioning how could she pass Virataparvam for the theatrical release when the film has been promoting Naxalism and violence against police and glorifying to the core.
In the compliant, he demanded ban of Virataparvam as it is promoting violence and it will create law and order problem. He even demanded that there are many objectionable scenes in the film and the film's screening should be immediately stopped.
