In a surprising turn of events, popular director Nag Ashwin whose film Mahanati won the best film award and best actress award at the national level, took on Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. It all started with the Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighting how Railways under his leadership is transforming various cities and also the temple city of Tirupathi. He posted 'Tirupati world-class railway station on the fast track. All contracts awarded."
Many netizens started trolling the minister for westernizing the temple city of Tirupati by erasing the spiritual environment. Even director Nag Ashwin, who is directing Prabhas' Project K, shared his feelings, posted "Dear sir...as u might have seen in the comments... nobody likes this...The design looks like some generic western copy, some bad IT park... Tirupati is sacred, spiritual... let's get ppl to design it who understand the rich architecture of India..and not these glass n steel copies"
It has to be seen how the minister reacts to the negativity spread over his post.
