Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Acharya hit the screens today. The film opened up to disappointing talk right from the US premiers. Those who watched the film felt Koratala Shiva failed to make the golden opportunity presented to him by Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. People who watched Acharya found similarities with Balakrishna's Akhanda.
In Acharya, Chiranjeevi as Acharya goes to Dharmasthali and takes on Sonu Sood and Jishu Sen Gupta who were about to extract the mines. This was similar to Akhanda where Balakrsihna as Akhanda goes to Anantapur from Kashi to take on Srikanth and others who were indulging in illegal mining.
Chiranjeevi as Acharya fights the goons in the climax in the temple where the tribals offer prayers and this is similar to Balakrishna as Akhanda fight the goons in the climax in the temple. In Acharya Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan fight the goons while in Akhanda, Balakrishna in dual roles fights the goons. The contrasts are Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are shown as naxals fighting against the illegal mining while in Akhanda, Srikanth and others are seen indulging in illegal mining.
