Now the new trend of inviting female actors as the chief guests are becoming the talking point. Recently Keerthy Suresh and Sai Pallavi graced the pre-release event of Sharwanand, Rashmika Mandanna's Adavaallu Meeku Johaarlu. Director Kishore Thirumala said since Keerthy Suresh and Sai Pallavi are setting an example on and off the screen, he decided to invite them as the chief guests.
Swapna Dutt, producer of Prabhas' Project K says women are playing an important role in powering the film and adds it is a welcome trend. A long time back Pooja Hegde was invited as the chief guest for Naga Shourya's Varudu Vaavalenu. Pooja says she was pleasantly surprised at that time when the makers invited her. Neelima Guna, producer of Samantha's Shakuntalam says it is a welcome move and feels happy that Tollywood is setting a new trend.
