Movie lovers are smitten with the beauty of Janhvi. The craze for her down south and especially in Tollywood is immense as she happens to be Atiloka Sundari Sridevi's daughter. Ever since Sridevi was planning to launch her daughter in films, many from Tollywood tried desperately to introduce her in the industry opposite top stars. Many Tollywood directors and producers tried to cast opposite Ram Charan, Akhil, Mahesh Babu, etc. Few makers even planned a sequel for Chiranjeevi-Sridevi's blockbuster Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari.
Nothing materialized as Sridevi decided to launch her in Bollywood at the behest of Karan Johar. Her debut happened and though she gained recognition, she failed to attain the next level of stardom. Her dad Boney Kapoor has been desperate to power Janhavi to the next level of stardom. In the meantime, things changed quickly and with Vijay Devarakonda's craze increasing immensely in North, Janhvi along with Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali Khan, and others expressed her desire to star opposite him.
This promoted the makers of Liger, to cast her opposite Vijay Devarakonda and even Karan Johar tried his best. But her dates clashed and she couldn't do the film. Knowing her renewed interest in Tollywood as she heaped praises on Pushpa and with top heroines, Alia Bhatt starring in Rajamouli's RRR and Deepika Padukone in Prabhas' Project K, Tollywood makers tried to cast her in NTR and Mahesh Babu's next. But nothing came out and in between it came out that Boyapati Srinu who lined up a pan India action entertainer with Ram, tried to rope in Janhvi for the female lead. But much to the shock of all, she rejected outright without even showing interest to listen to the story.
Rumors have it that Janhvi may star in Vijay Devarakonda's Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannath. But nothing is confirmed. Tollywood people are furious and angrily questioning why Janhvi is rejecting the plots without listening to them and insulting the industry. When sometime back rumors spread that Janhvi is not keen to star in Tollywood films, Boney Kapoor took pains to clarify that Janhvi is waiting for the right script and there is no truth in such rumors.
