In a major development, the centre has constituted a 3-member committee to discuss the AP & Telangana bifurcation issues. The committee is headed by the joint secretary of the home ministry, Ashish Kumar while SS Rawat from the AP and Ramakrishna Rao from the TS have been inducted as the other two members of the committee.
The first meeting of the committee will be held on the 17th of this month. Thenceforth, the committee will be meeting regularly to sort out and to resolve all the major issues.
Obviously, it's speculated that the issue of special status for the AP state would also become part of the discussions.
Whatsoever, the AP BJP and its allied force Janasena will benefit with the resolutions to be taken up by the 3-member committee which in turn ensures brownie points for the BJP-JSP duo for the next poll battle.
