Mythological visual spectacle Ramayanam 3D has been a dream project for mega producer Allu Aravind. He along with Madhu Manthena and Namit Malhotra wished to make Ramayanam as a trilogy with Rs.1500 crore budget.
Initially, Mega Power Star Ram Charan was approached for lord Sriram's role. Since Ram Charan turned down the offer, several other names such as Hrithik Roshan and Mahesh Babu were considered for the protagonist Sriram. Thereafter, no update of the proposed project was heard. According to the reports, the Ramayanam project was shelved by Allu Aravind a long time ago.
On the other hand, numero uno director Rajamouli has a lifetime ambition to make Mahabharat into five parts. He wished to get retired from his profession after directing Mahabharat. However, it could be a Herculean task for the outstanding director to find out the suitable cast and crew for the gigantic project. For time being, it appears Mahabharat would remain to be a dream project for Rajamouli.
Despite all odds, if Rajamouli and Allu Aravind firmly decide to make the biggest ever mythological projects, no one can stop them fulfilling their goals.
