Has the AP high court reacted not so well on film ticket rates issue and the employees petition against the malicious PRC? According to observers, the answer is 'yes'.
Film ticket rates shall have to be decided on 'Demand & Supply' formula. In short, the producer and the audience decide how much is incurred in buying a film ticket. But then, the AP government unilaterally brought G.O.No.35 into force which says film tickets can even be sold at Rs.5. How is this affordable to the exhibitors? The HC should have written off the G.O. But then, nothing of that sort happened.
On the other hand, the court appeared to have not understood the ground level realities on the new PRC proposed by the government. The employees, who will face the losses with the new PRC, only know how venomous the new PRC proceedings are. In spite of turning magnanimous to the genuine petition of the employees, the court is learnt to have quizzed some strange questions to the employees.
Hopefully, the court should do justice on film ticket rates and the PRC issue.
