Release of films inversely proportional to covid cases

There is no use speculating on films release

The rising omicron cases resulted in the third wave of covid in the country. This robbed movie lovers across the country of their wonderful entertainment on the big screen. From Tollywood films like RRR, Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak, Acharya, and others got postponed and the same is the case in other languages.

Now over the past few days, intense speculation is going on over the films release dates. speculation is on as to which film will clash with which one whether the top stars will get ready to clash and whether one film will eat into the profit of the other one. Reports of RRR, Radhe Shyam clash, Acharya, Sarkaru Vaari Paata clash started worrying fans and some even triggered fan wars.

However, what one should realize is film releases are inversely proportional to covid cases. If covid cases reduce, normalcy returns and this enables state governments to relax the restrictions which result in theatres functioning with full occupancy. For pan India films like RRR and Radhe Shyam, closure of theatres or 50% occupancy in various states doesn't augur well.

Speculation over these film releases is increasing with reports of third-wave ending in a couple of months now is surfacing. But it all depends on how careful people are and with the elections for five states scheduled and campaigning in full swing and festivals being celebrated with full zeal, one is witnessing a spurt in cases. So the situation is being closely monitored by the makers before finalising the film releases.
