Till sometime back many have taken the outbreak of the omicron, a new variant of coronavirus lightly. Following the end of the second wave of the corona, things returned to normalcy and Tollywood started buzzing with activity with top stars releasing their films, lining up new projects, completing the existing ones at a brisk pace.
They even celebrated festivals like Vinayaka Chavithi, Dasara, Diwali, X Mas and then had a new year bash welcoming 2022 in a grand manner. They hoped to cash into the Sankranti festival by releasing big-budget films like RRR and Radhe Shyam, followed by the other biggies.
But as they took off the guard during New Year celebrations, many got covid shocks. Celebrities like Mahesh Babu, Machu Manoj, Manchu Vishnu, Keerthy Suresh, Thaman, Vishwaksen, Rajendra Prasad got corona and the list is fast increasing. This brought the shootings of various projects like Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Bheemla Nayak, Acharya, Khiladi,F3, Ramarao On Duty, and other films to a standstill.
Tollywood stars are experiencing Omicron tensions and none of them are keen to take the risk as many got affected with corona. It has to be seen when the situation changes for good.
