This is a death blow! A decisive stroke from the AP government to the unemployed youth. Although the employees have never demanded, the Jagan Reddy government unilaterally decided to increase the retirement age from 60 to 62.
Ahead of general elections, 2019, Jagan Reddy made innumerable promises. One among those promises is to release the job calendar on the 1st January of every year. Subsequently, chanting the slogans, 'Raavaali Jagan...kaavali Jagan', the unemployed thronged to the polling booths and cast their votes to the YCP unanimously.
And what is happening now? Literally, Jagan Reddy is showing stars to the unemployed. No single teacher post has been recruited while no signs of filling the vacancies of Group posts. The total number of vacancies is also cut down by the government for recruitment.
At this juncture, increasing the retirement age has led the situation from bad to worse for the unemployed youth. What should they do now? Straightaway, the unemployed should approach the AP high court to ensure the decision of the government is written off by the honourable court.
