Goes all out for RRR: Questions the Chief Minister

Karan Johar questions CM for RRR

Rajamouli's RRR is the most awaited film among movie lovers across the country. The makers are promoting the film in an extravagant manner going all out after announcing the release date as of January 7,2022. Even as they are on a promotional blitzkrieg, they are getting huge shocks as a new variant of covid, omicron is spreading at an alarming rate. Even as many Bollywood films postponed their releases indefinitely with the various state governments imposing various restrictions, night curfews, and 50% occupancy in theatres, Rajamouli made clear that RRR will release on January 7 at any cost.

In the midst of all this, the makers got a huge shock when the Delhi government headed by CM Arvind Kejriwal declared an orange alert and ordered the closure of theatres across the state. This came as a severe jolt to RRR makers as Delhi forms a huge market in the North. In the midst of all this, Karan Johar who has been promoting the film RRR went all out for RRR and questioned the Chief Minister.

Karan Johar aired his views saying "We urge the Delhi Government to allow cinemas to operate. Cinemas are equipped with a better ability to ensure a hygienic environment while maintaining social distancing norms as compared to other out-of-home settings. @LtGovDelhi @ArvindKejriwal @OfficeOfDyCM #cinemasaresafe"
