Movie Artists Association (MAA) Elections during the past 3-4 years have been bitterly fought and extremely controversial. The animosity continued even after the completion of the elections. MAA 2021 elections generated immense heat, shocking controversy and even witnessed fistfights and personal allegations and abuses. The elections witnessed record turnout and voting and Manchu Vishnu won against Prakash though the majority of the members from Prakash Raj's panel won comfortably.
What followed later and the ongoing developments is shocking all. Naga Babu resigned from the MAA membership and then Prakash Raj resigned citing regional and linguistic divisions in the association. Though Manchu Vishnu said he will meet them personally and convince them to take back the resignations, Prakash Raj today announced that there is more to his resignation. Now, this is triggering rumors that MAA will be breaking up.
Reports are coming that 8 from the Prakash Raj panel won as Executive Members. They are Banerjee (Vice President), Srikanth (Executive Vice President), Uttej (Joint Secretary) and the EC members included Siva Reddy, Brahmaji, Prabhakar, Tanish, Suresh Kondeti, Sameer, Sudigali Sudheer, and Kaushik. Inside talk is Prakash Raj will be addressing the press meet and later all the members from Prakash Raj panel will submit their resignations.
Reports are coming that they will have their own association All Telugu Movie Artists Association (ATMAA) against MAA.It this happens then controversies will increase and flare up more in the coming days. It has to be seen how top stars and celebrities react to the developments. All eyes are on Prakash Raj's press meet.
