Speaking to scribes, Mogulaiah said he had been singing for many decades and everyone came to know about him after Telangna Government recognized his talent and felicitated him. He said Mamidi Harikrishna gave his number to Pawan Kalyan after the team asked for his contact.
He added that Pawan called him and sent the car and sang the song. Mogulaiah said he never knew about Pawan Kalyan and when he told his children about Pawan's call, they told him great things about him. Recollecting his meeting with Pawan, Mogulaiah said ' I showed Pawan my 12 steps Kinnera instrument. He took me and saw it with keen interest and then made me sing the song. Later he has taken me from Hyderabad to Tamil Nadu. Many were working there in a huge set. Pawan Kalyan is a great human being. He served me delicious food and looked after me very well'
On his remuneration for the song, Mogulaiah said 'THey have given me charges for the song. They told me that they will give money and save me. They told me that Pawan Kalyan will look after me. I am not after money. My only desire is to show my talent to the world. Had I worked for money, I would have earned crores. I never craved money even though I languished in poorness. Even now Government of Telangana's advisor Ramanachari gives me dresses. Under these circumstances, Pawan Kalyan showed my talent to the world. I did not ask him for money.
