Nagarjuna's Bangarraju was finally launched yesterday in a grand manner. Kalyan Krishna, the director who waited for more than three years for Bangarraju, a prequel for Soggade Chinni Nayana, speaking to scribes shared the secrets.
He said though Bangarraju is a prequel for Soggade Chinni Nayana, even those who haven't watched the earlier will enjoy the second one. He said Bangarraju starts with the references to Soggade Chinni Nayana. He added that Nagarjuna's role is eccentric and flamboyant. He said Nagarjuna who loved doing Soggade Chinni Nayana spoke about the sequel even before the film's completion.
On Naga Chaitanya's presence in Bangarraju, he said it was the collective idea and Naga Chaitanya will be apt for the role of playing younger Bangarraju. He said they planned to cast Akhil also in the project but Akhil is busy with his projects and he couldn't adjust the dates. The makers erected extravagant heaven set at Annapurna Studios to shoot important scenes of Bangarraju.
