Ahead of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections, even before the schedule was announced, various actors announced their desire to contest the elections.
The first to enter the fray was Prakash Raj. Right after that the list increased with Manchu Vishnu, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, Hema, and others announcing their candidatures. While there is nothing wrong in expressing their desire and contest the elections, what followed after that shocked all.
Allegations and counter allegations from these actors stunned all. The washing of dirty linen in the public tarnished the image of MAA. A couple of days back actress Hema not only made serious allegations against the current panel led by Naresh and she even sent voice message and letters to all members seeking their support and signature. She even crossed all limits by giving interviews to various media channels.
Mega Star Chiranjeevi who for long patiently watching the developments and who was working for a consensus to resolve all the differenes, finally decided to act tough. He as the founding member of the MAA dashed off a letter to senior actor Krishnam Raju who is heading the Disciplinary Committee to take strong action against those crossing the line.
Now reports are coming that notices have been served to Hema under Clause and asked her not to repeat such actions. Naresh and actress Jeevitha who has taken a strong exception complained to the DRC attaching the video footage of Hema's comments and sought stringent action on Hema. Following this notices have been served to Hema. The committee asked Hema to respond to the notices with in three days failing which she will face the consequences.
