Naga Shourya's upcoming entertainer Varudu Kavalenu directed by debutante Lakshmi Soujanya landed in controversy. The makers recently released the lyrical song promo Dig Digu Digu Naga and the video will be released today.
Everyone knows that Digu Digu Digu Naga is a devotional song on Lord Ayyappa. Hindu groups took objection to the makers using the song as a item special tuning a mass beat.
Hindu organizations are demanding apologies from Thaman, lyricist Anant Sriram and singer Mangli, and others for turning the devotional song into an item song. Mangli recently landed in huge controversy for her song during Bonalu.
Thaman has been often accused of copying many hit songs and even devotional songs and analysts feel that this time he landed in huge trouble and Hindu groups will not leave him that easily. They point out that Hindu groups did not leave Mangli for using one old popular devotional song in her own way till she apologized.
