Rana, Sai Pallavi's Virataparvam directed by Venu Udugula is generating tremendous interest. The film has a naxal backdrop in the 90s and sources say it is a powerful take on the existing system. The film stars Rana as Dr.Ravi Shankar alias Comrade Ravanna, Sai Pallavi as Vennela, and Priyamani ad Comrade Bharatakka.
Nivetha Pethuraj is also playing an important role in the film. Speaking about her role, Nivetha said her role is an extended cameo and she will be seen as a Naxalite in the film. She said her role is intense, edgy, and loaded with action.
She said her role has been the toughest in her career and she shot intense action episodes during the rainy days in Hyderabad. She said by the end of the shoot, her body started paining. Th3e film also stars Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand in important roles.
