Sitara Entertainments acquired the remake rights of the Malayalam crime thriller Kappela. It is known that the film stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Arjun Das will be playing important roles in the film. Newcomer Shourie Chandrasekhar will be making his debut as the director with the Telugu remake.
Ace director Trivikram Srinivas launched the Kappela remake with a customary pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Arjun Das will be reprising the roles played by Sreenath Bhasi and Roshan Mathew roles respectively. The makers will soon finalize the female lead of the film.
Kappela is a message-driven film with a happy-go-lucky girl getting attracted and falling in love with an auto driver. Anna Benn played the female lead in the original.Sweekar Agasthi is the music director for the film.
