Irony, here, is that Suresh Babu owns many theatres across Telugu states. Although a flood of releases are expected in next two months, Suresh Babu could comfortably release his films in his own/leased theatres.
On the other side, Victory Venkatesh's fans are deeply hurt with the producer's decision. Venkatesh would be the first top hero among seniors to have his films released in OTT platforms without hitting theatres.
What has gone wrong with Suresh Babu? Ever since covid pandemic broke out in the last year, Suresh Babu kept on vocalizing pessimistic words about theatrical run of films. And finally, he has given up throwing Venkatesh and Rana's fans into a dismal state.
According to the reports Naarappa was sold out to Amazon Prime while Drushyam 2 rights were bagged by Disney+ Hotstar. Viraataparvam's rights are likely to be acquired by Netflix and deal will be closed shortly.
Since all the three films are being sold out with exorbitant prices, Suresh Babu may have got profits. But then, he hurt the fans to the core with his bad decision.
