Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma who is once regarded as the most technically brilliant filmmaker is now hogging the limelight by making controversial films. He lined up many controversial films like Dangerous, Enter The Lady Dragon and now one of his controversial films got a huge shock from the High Court.
It is known that Ram Gopal Varma planned a film on the horrific real-life incident, Disha's brutal rape, and the subsequent encounter which left all in the country shellshocked. RGV named the film Disha Encounter and planned to release the film on Nov 26 on Disha's first death anniversary. However, High Court stalled the film release. The film for long has been in legal tangles. RGV decided to release the film with the Telangana government getting ready to give permissions for the opening of the theatres.
But Ram Gopal Varma got a huge shock from the High Court when the judges after hearing the petition filed by Disha's parents, stalled the film Disha's Encounter for another two weeks till the next hearing. The High Court did not heed to the makers that they changed the title from Disha Encounter to Asha Encounter and got clearance from the Censor Board.
