May 28 happens to be legendary personality Sr NTR's birth anniversary. Everyone is remembering his great achievements and in the midst of all this, Sr NTR's shocking food habits are leaving everyone in awe.
Sr NTR was fond of food and his team used to find it difficult to satisfy him by bringing huge carriages. He never was satisfied with fulls as he used to be a foodie.
In one sitting he used to have one kg of bird meat and he used to order from a military canteen. There were times when NTR had four kgs of meat. He used to have 12 garelu, 6 pesaratlu, many mirchi bajjis on numerous occasions. At the same time, he had great digestion. Even when he had a 300-400 sugar reading, he had one kg kalakand sweet on many occasions.
NTR couldn't control his hunger. Janapada Brahma Vithalacharya's production style used to be different. He had a rule that all the cast and crew working for his film were permitted to have as much as they can but should write a count on the items they had.
NTR used to have 4 plates of upma, 6 pooris, 2-3 cups of pongal made with ghee, milk, and sugar, and 1 cup tea every half an hour and used to write the same in the account. NTR used to take the remuneration of Rs 20000 for four months. Vithalacharya used to pay Rs 5k every month.
After the completion of one month, Vithalacharya handed Rs 2000 to NTR instead of Rs 5000. NTR who was shocked questioned Vithalacharya and he remarked that since he had a lot of tiffins at his production, he was charged 3000 for it. He told NTR bluntly that his production house can bear only 2 idlis, one vada, 1 cup of tea, and an evening snack and NTR had no option but to keep quiet.
NTR used to get a carriage from Meesala Raju hotel opposite NIMS. Early morning 3 AM he used to have one box full of chicken. Meesala Raju carriage used to have boxes full of chicken, fish, and other food items.
