As the BJP high command at the centre became inflexible in contesting Tirupati Lok Sabha bypolls, the Janasena backed out of the race giving nod for the BJP's candidature in the poll battle.
However, the Jana Sainiks made a lot of hue and cry over the decision of party's chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Yet, Pawan Kalyan firmly decided to sacrifice Tirupati Lok Sabha seat for the BJP contestant.
The results of the poll battle were out on Sunday. The ruling YSRCP contestant Gurumurthy registered a thumping victory with more than 6 lakh votes to his credit while the TDP stands at second position with 3.54 lakh votes. In a humiliating manner, the BJP got just 53K votes and lost its deposits.
Obviously, political analysts are affirming that the Janasena's contesting in the elections could make a difference. "Janasena could have replaced the TDP occupying second position," they said adding further, "Had Janasena fielded a candidate, Jana Sainikcs could have extended their 100% support for the party's victory. However, as the BJp fielded its contestant Ratnaprabha, most of the Jana Sainiks stayed away from campaigning for the BJP's victory in Tirupati LS constituency.
Janasena well wishers are advising the party's president Pawan Kalyan never to commit such blunder,henceforth.
