Megastar Chiranjeevi's Acharya, which earlier was supposed to hit the screens on May 13, has been deferred indefinitely in the wake of the spread of COVID-19. The makers haven't divulged the new release date of the film which led to several speculations on the release date.
According to the reports, the film is in the last leg of its shoot and the balance part of the regular shoot will be wrapped up by the end of May.
On the other side, it's expected the spread of the pandemic would be slowed down by June with the effective measures to be taken by union and state governments. Interim Acharya will get its dubbing and post production work completed in June and July. All said and done, the film will be releasing in the month of August. An official announcement is awaited from the horse' mouth.
Acharya's first single 'Radhe Radhe' received humongous response from the music lovers and breached 25 million views, recently. The film's second single Neelambali, shot on Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde, is awaited by fans at the moment. Senior top musician Manisharma has provided the film's music. Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead.
Directed by Koratala Siva the film has been bankrolled by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainments jointly.
