With the nation engulfed in second wave, the cinema industry again has come to a screeching halt. Maharashtra government has imposed complete lockdown expect for essential activities until April 30. Biggies like Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan to Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 then Prabhas’ Adipurush filming has come to a halt.
The scenario is same not only in Bollywood, but down South too. Tollywood big-ticket films like Acharya and Pushpa have pushed the release date respectively. While Love Story, Tuck Jagadish and Virata Parvam has got postponed. Now all eyes are reeling on Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and others.
Following the Covid surge, it was speculated that RRR release date may once again may get pushed or see postponement. But inside talk has it that Rajamouli has no plans to change and go ahead with the same release date- October 13. The ace filmmaker is hopeful that things will change by then. On the other side, both Charan and Tarak will be occupied with their respective projects post RRR.
Charan will jump to Shankar’s film, while Tarak will team up with Koratala Siva for NTR30. Following this, Rajamouli has to finish his post-production works in time and release RRR as per schedule.
