Then SBSB, Now Vakeel Saab!

Tollywood All Hopes On Vakeel Saab

When theatres were reopened in December last year, Tollywood prayed for the success of Sai Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better which was the first film to hit the screens. Thankfully, the film directed by Subbu ended up as an above average grosser. However, Ravi Teja’s Krack that faced financial glitches in the last minute became first hit of 2021.

Then, Tollywood saw many super hits to blockbusters in last few months. Even films that received mixed to negative response too did wonders at box office. Unfortunately, the huge spike in corona cases for last few weeks is giving tensions to Tollywood filmmakers. Films like Rang De and Wild Dog are making poor business at box office.

Now, Tollywood is hoping that Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab bring audiences to theatres. The much awaited film directed by Venu Sriram is set for release worldwide on 9th of this month. Advance bookings are in full swing for the film in overseas territory and undoubtedly Vakeel Saab is expected to break opening records in Telugu states.

It is certain that Vakeel Saab will get massive openings due to Pawan Kalyan factor and the film too is carrying optimistic reports. However, long run of the film will give new hopes to Tollywood.

Vakeel Saab which is the official remake of Pink is made as a commercial entertainer without disturbing the core theme of the film. S Thaman has scored music and songs were already chartbusters.

Shruti Haasan has paired opposite Pawan Kalyan for the third time after Gabbar Singh and Katamarayudu. Anjali, Nivetha Thomas and Ananya Nagella are the other prominent cast.
