Wild Dog And IMW Tell Different Stories!

Wild Dog, India’s Most Wanted Based On Same Story

Nagarjuna’s spy thriller Wild Dog was released on last Friday and the film directed by Ashishor Solomon received mixed response from critics. Based on true incidents of India’s biggest covert operation, the film bankrolled by Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainment got lukewarm response from the audiences.

There was a film came with similar story in Bollywood. Arjun Kapoor starred in the film titled India’s Most Wanted. Raj Kumar Gupta has directed the film that was released in 2019 to mixed reviews. However, many appreciated the director for his realistic approach in making the film.

Interestingly, Wild Dog and India’s Most Wanted narrate different stories. Of course fictional elements were included in both the films, the Hindi version was more authentic than the Telugu version, opine many. And we can’t blame the makers of Wild Dog as flat narration will not excite audiences.

However, the big difference is while Wild Dog tells that the NIA team that misses to capture the terrorist in India goes all the way to Nepal where with the support of a raw agent and local police officer arrest him, coming to IMW when the Tem of IB officials go to Nepal on their own expenses and lead normal life to get information from their local sources and finally capture the terrorist without using any weapons.

There were many action episodes in Wild Dog, wherein there was no single action sequence in IMW. While it’s IB officials along with Bihar police chip in the covert operation according to IMW, NIA officials alone instigated the operation according to Wild Dog. While the lead characters are shown as real heroes in Wild Dog, IMW has shown them as ordinary men who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the country.

Nonetheless, both the films show the brave persons involved in the covert operation as unsung heroes.
