Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s RRR is the biggest film awaited by cinephiles. The film has been making right kind of noise even before it went on floors. Now, RRR has stuck biggest ever deal in Bollywood as its heretical, digital and satellite rights have been acquired by Pen Studios. Baahubali director in his statement said, "I am happy to have Jayantilal Gada and Pen India Ltd associate with us to take the film to the North Indian audience”.
As per the deal between Pen Studios and Rajamouli, RRR North theatrical rights have been estimated at Rs 140 crores which is biggest ever deal in Bollywood. In fact, RRR has beat Salman Khan Tubelight whose theatrical rights were sold to NH Studioz for a sum of Rs 135 crore.
RRR stars Jr NTR as Komaram Bheem and Ram Charan as Alluri Sitharama Raju which also features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and other international star cast. Penned by KV Vijeydnra Prasad, RRR chronicles the journey of these two freedom fighters but with cinematic liberty.
RRR is slated for October 13. Bankrolled by DVV Danayya, the film is touted to be made on whopping budget of Rs 400 crores.
