When things were almost coming to normal, second wave is worrying Tollywood biggies now. As of now, only small to medium range films were released and in April and May, many ticket films are lined up for theatrical release. Already there is dent in collections in recently released films, as there is fear of corona scare in people.
Films like Uppena which received mixed talk did wonders at box office. Despite negative talk, 30 Rojullo Preminchadal Ela and Zombie Reddy did decent business. However, Nithiin’s Rang De which was expected to have fly start made only decent business in its first weekend. As per trade analysts, second wave of covid is the reason behind mediocre response from public.
Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog, Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story, Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, Rana’s Virata Parvam, Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, Ravi Teja’s Khiladi, Venkatessh’s Naarappa, Balakrishna-Boyapati’s BB3 and few other noted films releasing in next couple of month.
If corona cases increase in next few days, it will have huge impact on films releasing in April and May. Thankfully, as the temperatures are increasing and with people taking precautions, situations come to normal very soon. Hopefully, there will not be much impact of corona second wave on Tollywood summer releases!
