A top banner in Tollywood which produced feel good entertainers according to sources is now in a silent mode. Annapurna Studios run by Akkineni family made many blockbuster as well as critically acclaimed films like Shiva, Manmadhudhu, Satyam, Mass, Ninne Pelladata, Super, Uyyala Jampala, Manam, Oka Laila Kosam, Soggade Chinni Naayana, Rarandoyi Veduka Chooddam, Hello etc.
Now reports are coming that Annapurna Studios which is known to come up with content-rich is now not making any films. Their last film, Manmadhudhu 2, a sequel for super hit film Manmadhudhu turned out to be a disaster. Though it became a part of a web series named Loser, it didn't announce any new project. Rumours are spreading that while all top banners are busy with projects, Annapurna Studios is sitting idle.
Longtime back reports came that Annapurna Studios will come up with Bangarraju, a prequel for Soggade Chinni Nayana and director Kalyan Krishna has been waiting for three years trusting them but still no news about the project till now. Wonder when Annapurna Studios will delight movie lovers with new projects.
